Sunday Riley Good Genes Lactic Acid Treatment

The luxury original: Sunday Riley Good Genes Lactic Acid Treatment, $85

What matches: Lactic acid does the exfoliating in both, in an emulsion softened with caprylic/capric triglyceride and squalane, the two emollients just ahead of lactic acid on Good Genes' label.

What it does worse: Naturium adds glycolic acid, a smaller, faster-acting AHA, and lists both acids near the top of its label; it has no licorice and no fragrance. Good Genes is a thicker lotion with licorice and lemongrass oil. Neither brand states its acid percentage.

About the Product

What it is: Leave-on exfoliating serum with lactic and glycolic acids, squalane and fruit extracts, for dullness, uneven tone and rough texture. Fragrance-free; use in the evening and wear SPF the next day.

Highlighted Ingredients:

  • Lactic acid
  • Glycolic acid
  • Squalane

What Else You Need to Know:

  • Brighter, more radiant skin: A clinically minded blend of lactic and glycolic acids gently resurfaces the skin to boost luminosity, refine texture, and visibly reduce the look of dark spots for a healthier glow
  • Soothing exfoliant for renewing skin tone: L-arginine, fruit extracts, allantoin, and bisabolol support effective exfoliation while helping defend against environmental stressors and keeping skin at ease
  • Easy daily use for AM and PM: Apply 1–2 pea-sized drops to your face, neck, or chest; always perform a patch test before adding to your morning or evening routine; pair with sunscreen when using AHAs
