Privacy policy

What we collect

HerDupes has no accounts, no newsletter and no comment form, so there is nothing for you to sign up to and no personal details for us to store. We don't run advertising trackers and we don't sell or share data, because we hold none to sell.

Server logs

Our server records each request: the page, the time, the browser's user agent and the IP address. That is how the site is kept online and how abuse is blocked. Logs are kept for 30 days and then deleted.

Amazon links and cookies

Every “Check price on Amazon” and “Buy the dupe” button goes through a redirect on this site and lands on Amazon with our Associates tag attached. Amazon then sets its own cookies in your browser so that a purchase you make within its cookie window is credited to us. Those cookies are Amazon's, not ours, and what Amazon does with them is covered by the Amazon Privacy Notice. We never receive your name, address or payment details — only an aggregate count of orders.

Cookies we set

None. The site is static pages; filters and sorting are held in the URL, not in storage.

Children

HerDupes is not directed at children under 13 and we knowingly collect nothing from them.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, UK or California, you have the right to ask what data we hold about you, and to have it deleted. In practice that is the server logs described above. Email [email protected] and we will answer within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
