How this list was made

Where the two concentrations differ, the comparison says so, since an eau de toilette against an eau de parfum is a real difference in how long it lasts. A clone copies the accord, not the raw materials: expect the opening to land close and the drydown to thin out earlier, and expect less sillage from the cheaper alcohol base.

The top picks are fragrance pairs only, ranked by saving against the original: per millilitre, since every bottle here states its size.
