• On Amazon the real thing comes from Amazon.com. The seller is the line under Add to Cart, not the name on the listing.
• From Amazon.com, the 5 Mustela products we track cost $25 to $40.50 today, none of them marked down. The FTC warns that ads with big discounts on brand names can lead to a cheap fake or nothing at all: its alert.
• Once it arrives, check the batch code printed on the box and on the product: checkfresh.com decodes Mustela's into a production date.
