Fake CHANEL vs real: what to check

• On Amazon the real thing comes from Amazon.com or a store in CHANEL's name; on the listings we track, neither is there. The seller is the line under Add to Cart, not the name on the listing.
• Once it arrives, check the batch code printed on the box and on the product: checkfresh.com decodes CHANEL's into a production date.

How to check who sells CHANEL on Amazon

1. Browsing from outside the US, set a US delivery address first; any ZIP will do, 10001 works. Without one Amazon fills the buy box with import and reseller offers. That is how Charlotte Tilbury, Dyson and Clinique once looked unstocked to us, when Amazon.com sold all three.
2. Read the two lines beside Add to Cart, “Ships from” and “Sold by”. For CHANEL you want Amazon.com or a store in CHANEL's name; on the listings we track, neither is there.
3. If another name is there, open “Other sellers on Amazon”. Amazon.com or the brand sometimes sells the same listing one row down, at the same price or close to it.
